funny kids and Sumbibazo

Nothing much going on here but I wanted to share a couple of funny things the kids did this week. First of all, I dislike...no hate...taking all of the kids to the store around dinner time and that is where I found myself yesterday (I think it was yesterday). They were doing pretty good, for the amount of shopping we had to do, and they were getting hungry so I took them over to the bakery counter for some cookies. After thanking the lady for their cookies, BOTH of my polite boys proceed to shove their whole cookies into their mouths! I never heard any discussion or agreement that they would eat their cookies in one bite and yet there they were...proud as could be. I couldn't help but laugh out loud :) When I told Cam at dinner I think he wanted to hi-five both of them...boys, they never grow up!
Here we are. Another day and another little story. Nothing really looks awry in this picture now does it?? But then you notice the shoe and maybe a little skin...
This was a few seconds earlier :) I forgot to wipe down the slide and the kids got soaked so Grant decided to take his pants off. Okay, so even that isn't so bad. But a few minutes later I was inside getting him some new pants. When I went to take them out to him, guess what I found? A naked little boy from the waist down...his underwear got wet too, after all!
Here is a picture from Leavenworth! The Ladies Retreat was last weekend...what a great time! I had SO much fun getting to know some new friends even better, being renewed and re-energized spiritually and it is always so fun to have a little break from all of the mommy duties :) Our speaker was Pam Teschner. She had such a wonderful, descriptive way of story telling...it was almost like poetry to hear her speak. I loved listening and finding encouragement in her words. The theme of our retreat was "Friendships Bloom" and so Pam talked about our friendship with Christ and our friendships with each other. She used the Greek term Sumbibazo to describe how we are to be united in love or woven together. I was also reminded of the fact that I need to focus on not getting caught up in all of the busy activity around me and really focus on Christ daily. Spend time worshiping, praying, reading and writing.

Thanks again Mom and Grandma for coming out to stay with the kids while I was away and Cam was working! We love you!

Goodnight!
